God has a plan for your life
Good Sunday morning! Did know that God has a plan for your life? He does. But He wont force His plans on you. God has given you the ability to make decisions on your own. And with that freedom comes the responsibility of living with the consequences of yor choices.
If you seek to live in accordance with God’s plan for your life, you will read His Word (the Bible), you will take some quiet time in prayer with Him so you can hear His direction, and you will be watchful for His signs. You will associate with fellow believers who, by their words and actions, will encourage your own spiritual growth. You will need to be careful to avoid two terrible temptations: the temptation to sin and the temptation to squander time. And finally you will listen attentively to the conscience that God has placed in your heart.
God has plans for your day and your life. So as you go about your daily activities, keep your eyes and ears open… as well as your heart.
It has been said that when God sends you on a journey, He will direct your path and light your way, even if it’s only one step at a time. And from walking the mountains and valleys of my own life, I believe that to be true. When the Lord is with me, I can feel His presence and move out in confidence, and although I may not know my final destination, I have His assurance that I am heading in the right direction.
The Christian life is one of faith, where we find ourselves routinely overdriving our headlights but knowing it is okay because God is in control and He has a purpose.
Thought for the day… Big, Bigger, and Very Big Plans. God has very big plans in store for our life so trust Him and wait patiently for those plans to unfold. And remember…. God’s timing is not always our timing.
Romans 8:28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him.
Pslam 37:23-24 The steps of the godly are directed by the Lord. He delights in every detail of their lives. Though they stumble, they will not fall, for the Lord holds them by the hand.
Dear Lord, I am your creation and you created me for a reason. Give me the wisdom to follow your direction for my life’s journey. Le me do your work here on earth by seeking your will and living it, knowing that when I trust you Father, I am eternally blessed. Amen
